When someone asks "what exactly does TransfersManager do?", the short answer is: it's the software a transfer or VTC company uses to manage bookings, fleet, drivers and payments under its own brand, instead of depending on the phone, a spreadsheet and a platform that keeps part of the price. This article brings together, in one place, what comes built in and how the money works: what TransfersManager charges and what the Dispatch Pool commission is, which are two different things that are often confused.
The booking engine, under your brand
A booking website published under your own domain, not ours: the passenger arrives, sees the price instantly by vehicle class, route, one way or return, flight number and extras, and pays right there. It isn't an alternative to having your own website, it's your own website with the engine behind it. The comparison with a simple contact form, and why that detail decides how many bookings you lose, is in why a contact form answered tomorrow can't compete with a live price.
Automatic, auditable dispatch
Every booking is assigned to a vehicle and a driver by an engine with six weighted criteria: coverage, proximity, workday density, fairness between drivers, declared preferences and the job's profitability, after discarding whatever is impossible because of availability, seats, luggage, shift, overlaps or rest hours. It is deterministic: the same data always produces the same assignment, and each candidate's score is stored, so you can reproduce it and justify why it went to whoever it went to. A language model writes the explanation in plain text for a human to read; it is not the one that decides.
Fleet and driver management
Vehicles by class, drivers with their shift and availability, and visibility of where each car is in real time. The jump from a WhatsApp group where every driver asks for their schedule to a live map with each one's day sheet, with examples of what the dispatcher sees with ten jobs running at once, is in where are my cars?.
Native driver and passenger apps
A driver app with the day's route sheet, and a passenger app to follow their transfer. White label from the Premium plan: with your logo, your colours and published as your own app, not under the TransfersManager name.
Built-in invoicing
Every completed job generates its invoice, linked to the booking's lifecycle. It isn't a separate module you have to reconcile by hand at month end against what the booking engine says: it's the same booking, from start to finish.
The voice agent, WhatsApp and chat
For the call that comes in while you're driving another job: the voice agent knows where your cars are, quotes the new job, confirms it, or hands it to the Dispatch Pool if none of your own vehicles can cover it, all on the same call. WhatsApp and web chat run on the same booking engine and the same fleet state, so a passenger who writes on WhatsApp sees the same price and the same availability as on the website. The whole case, with the five actions the agent takes on a real call, is in the phone you can't pick up. You can try it yourself before deciding anything: our own voice agent, Javier, answers on +34 910 78 58 78 and the call is recorded, just like the ones it will take for you.
The Dispatch Pool: cover peaks and receive work
This is the piece that least resembles a conventional transfer CRM. When your fleet can't cover a job (cars busy, route outside your zone, a special vehicle you don't have), you offer it to a network of partner operators instead of turning it down, and the first one to accept takes the trip. It also works the other way round: you can receive jobs from overloaded operators from day one, even before you have a client base of your own, which makes it a real way to bill while you build your business. Both sides are explained in detail in sharing a ride with another operator and in work from day one: how a dispatch pool works for the receiving operator.
How the money is split: two different commissions
This is what people ask about most and confuse most, so it goes separately. The numbers in this section are the ones the platform itself publishes live (/api/public/pricing-policy), not a fixed rate written once and forgotten: if they change, they change there first.
The payment processing commission is what the platform charges when the payment is taken online through TransfersManager (your website, your app, your voice agent), with the payment gateway included. It steps down by plan: 8 % on Free and Basic, 5 % on Professional, and 4 % on Premium and Enterprise (negotiable). A payment that doesn't go through the gateway (cash, a bank transfer handled separately) doesn't generate it.
The Dispatch Pool acquisition commission is something else: a 10 % that is added to your plan's commission only when the booking isn't brought in by your own channel, but arrives through the Pool or through a partner. It's the same 10 % on every plan. If the job is yours from start to finish, it doesn't apply. How it is agreed before handing off a job is in sharing a ride with another operator.
Put another way: if the job is yours from start to finish, you pay only your plan's processing commission on the online payment. If the booking arrives through the Pool or through a partner, the 10 % acquisition commission is added to your plan's commission; they are two separate items and each applies to its own thing.
What changes between the four plans
| Plan | Price | Vehicles | Online payment commission | White label |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | Free forever | Up to 5 | 8 % | No |
| Professional | Paid | 15 included | 5 % | Partial |
| Premium | Paid | 50 included | 4 % | Full (website and apps) |
| Enterprise | Custom | Unlimited (tailored) | 4 %, negotiable | Full |
The exact numbers for each plan, with all the limits (transfers per month, drivers, AI features), are always up to date on the pricing page, which is the source to look at before deciding, not this summary table.
Where to go next
If you don't have an account yet, the real step-by-step of the first week (fleet, rates, published website, dispatch on, Dispatch Pool and first job) is in how to get started with TransfersManager. And if what you want is to see all this working before deciding anything, the live demo needs no sign-up and no card.
